Year 2 Phonics Screening Results

This table shows the % of pupils attaining the expected standard at the end of Key Stage 1 (Year 2) for 2018 compared to all pupils nationally (2018 data).

The check aims to find out what the children's baseline levels of reading are and how we as a school may structure future learning in order to build upon these foundation phonic skills. At West Croft School we use both programmes of Letters and Sounds and Read, Write, Inc to systematically teach daily phonics knowledge and skills.
