Project Knowledge Organiser - Science/Design Technology
This week in Maths we have been learning to subtract mixed fractions. In English we have worked on Speech and how we can implement spoken words into our writing. For topic we have investigated levers, pulleys and cams with lots of fun experiments. On Thursday we celebrated World Book Day, we had a fantastic day with the children and enjoyed all the creative costumes! The day was full of fun reading activities. We wrote book reviews, we had a very competitive quiz and the children had the chance to share stories with Year 1 and each other.
Our computing final outcome involved creating a coded game using the program scratch including algorithms and variables.

Our final outcome involved creating a piece of art and manipulate it using collage. The children have created some marvellous pieces.
Wednesday 5th February
Year 5 children have been working hard on their final write. On Thursday afternoon, Year 5 had the opportunity to showcase their work to their target audience (Year 2). They were engaged and excited to hear!
Tuesday 28th January 2020 - Healthy Eating
This week we have had a local celebrity come into school 'ASDA Pete'. Throughout the day, children were able to experience a live cooking session on how to make sweet and sour chicken. They prepared and chopped a variety of fruit to make kebabs and they created a still life drawing using pastels. All children were very proud of their creations and were able to taste their delicious cooking with five star reviews. The children have now been challenged to cook this at home.
