Extracurricular Activities

Below is a list of the extra curricular activities we currently offer at school. These activities are run voluntarily by staff, and they do not receive additional pay for their time. Therefore, if your child joins a group please encourage them to attend regularly and let the teachers know on occasions when they will not attend, or if they wish to leave.

Outdoor after school clubs are unlikely to take place in poor weather, so please arrange with your child that they operate their normal ‘going home’ routine if it is wet. There is no school crossing patrol available to supervise children who stay after school. After school clubs finish at 4.15 or 4.30 as specified.

If clubs are unavoidably cancelled by staff at short notice, we will send a text message to inform you, so please ensure you advise us immediately of any change of number.  If we are unable to contact you we will keep your child here until the club would normally end, when normal end of activity instructions will apply.

Please refer any queries to the teachers involved. We are justifiably proud of the range of activities on offer. I hope your children enjoy the any club that they join; it is an excellent opportunity to further their interests and meet children from outside their normal working groups. If you would like to help, please see the staff involved. Where clubs are oversubscribed we will operate a waiting list or rota system. Staff running the activities will let the children know when they start.

We offer a wide variety of extracurricular activities, where the children are encouraged to discover and extend particular enthusiasms. These also present opportunities to work with a variety of teachers and children. This broadens both their specific skills and social contacts, as well as improving confidence. For specific details of the clubs  please contact the school office or the teacher who runs the club.
